Baru's Heritage Series items are designed from actual photographs. The 1st in the series is from a photo of her dad, Bud Forell, in the saddlebronc riding at Kansas' Biggest Rodeo at Phillipsburg, Kansas in 1952. Bud was a multi-event cowboy whose rodeo career spanned five decades. He won the 1955 Kansas Amateur Rodeo Ass'n steer wrestling championship. Items using this saddlebronc photo are stamped on the back with 'BF 52' for 'Bud Forell, 1952' in addition to a production number, year and maker's mark.
The 2nd of Baru's Heritage Series items uses a photo of Deb Forell Christy, the 2007 & 2008 Nebraska State Rodeo Ass'n & Mid-States Rodeo Ass'n barrel racing champion. Baru uses the image of Deb and her phenomenal horse, The Chocolate Dash (1999-2011) in their championship run at the 2007 NSRA finals. Items made using this photo are stamped on the back with 'DC 07' for 'Deb Christy, 2007' in addition to the production number, year and maker's mark. Soar on angels wings, Choc.
